The Cherokee mission, parachuted in the Autumn of 1944, managed a large zone, that included many operative zones. However, because of the nature of partisan warfare and the difficulties in communications, zones outsied of the first OZ were managed by sub-missions.
The map marks the most importan places in MacDonald' story before his capture by the Germans in January 1945, and the boundires of the first OZ, where the misison operated.
