After Major Macdonald's capture, the mission kept operating, albeit in a disjointed manner, until the arrival of the new mission chief, Major Readhead.
The following months were spent preparing the final inssurrection and avoiding (or repelling) German attacks. As you can see, inn this second phase, the mission wa sin charge of an even bigger area than before and tis men travelled quite a lot up and down across Northern Piedmont.
