The mission Incisor, parachuted in North-western Piedmont at the beginning of April 1945, soon made it wasy to its destination: the Aosta Valley. The mission passed through the village of Ponte San Martino, it reached Aosta and, from there, travelled around the region.
The map shows, beside the places mentioned by Morton in his report, also some of the hydroelectric plants that the mission was taksed to protect from the withdrawing Germans. The French movements too, as detailed by the mission chief, are marked down, to give a spacial sense to the venets of these days.
